Radiation Protection

The main task of the Radiation Protection Activity is to guarantee personnel safety against the harmful effects of ionising radiation, in accordance with the law in force.

Together with the Radiation Protection Expert, the Radiation Protection Activity is responsible for providing expertise, support and oversight of radiological work at

Elettra and FERMI, for defining design and checking functioning of the accelerators' and beamlines' Personnel Safety Systems, for monitoring occupational exposure of personnel and establishing radiation procedures and requirements of different projects.
