Research @ Spectomicroscopy

Spectromicroscopy is devoted to a user community working in the field of surface and material science with particular emphasis on electronic structure phenomena such as electronic phase transitions and electronic structure of small – down to sub micrometer size – objects. The principal experimental method is photoelectron spectroscopy. The microscope has been upgraded by the end of 2009 to have two micro-probes at 27 and 74 eV photon energy, motorized sample scanning stage and ARPES analyzer, to constitute scanning micro-ARPES facility. The main user’s interests were focused on visualization of phase separation in metal-insulator transitions in metal oxides and chalogenides, electronic structure of strongly correlated materials, graphene etc.
