Spin-orbit gap in graphene
By means of ARPES and spin-resolved measurements, we show that intercalation of a Pb monolayer between the graphene sheet and the Pt(111) surface leads to formation of a spin-orbit coupling induced gap of about 200 meV at the Dirac point of graphene.Klimovskikh et al., ACS Nano 11, 368 (2017).
