Proposal Review Panels

The Proposal Review Panels are composed of senior scientists active in different scientific fields and appointed by the management of Elettra - Sincrotrone Trieste with the aim of evaluating users' proposals. Elettra panel is divided in seven subpanels (see chart). These panels normally meet twice a year, give a written report for each proposal submitted for 

the ongoing semester and give suggestions for beamtime allocation at the beamlines and offline facilities open to users. For the next calls during the "dark period" from Elettra to Elettra 2.0, only the "Offline facilities" panel gives a written report for each proposal submitted and provides the ranking for each offline facility.
