MOST Home page
The Molecular and Optical Science and Technology (MOST) project stems from the amalgamation of the GasPhase PhotoEmission and CiPo beamlines specifications and more: - wide energy range from 8 to 2500 eV with 2 IDs as sources - two brances on exit 4 of Elettra 2.0 - a new main line for the energy range 100-2500 - a low energy branch (GasPhase refurbished) for the 8-600 eV range - polarization control: linear horizontal, linear vertical, and circular - far higher spectral purity than GasPhase and CiPo (few% of harmonic content) - high flux and resolution: 1013 - 109@2% bandwidth from 8 to 2000 eV; resolving power up to 104 in the whole range, taking advantage of the lower emittance of Elettra 2.0 and lower slope errors of new optical elements MOST will study isolated species (atoms, molecules and clusters), liquids and new optical methodologies for synchrotron radiation studies of Low Density Matter |

User Area
Proposal SumissionWe invite users and collaborators to discuss their proposals with the beamline local contacts well in advance before the submission deadline. This is crucial for a careful assesment of the experiment feasibility and may lead to improvements in the proposed experimental plan. Our website provides a wealth of informaiton on experiment feasibilty and proposal submission. For more info, please vist the user info section. However, MOST@CiPo is presently closed to external users. See you @Elettra 2.0 ! |
Call for proposalsThe submission of proposals for the Elettra beamlines is suspended until Elettra 2.0 is commissioned. |
