C-SAFE backup: client installation

How to install the client application onto a client computer

First contact the to have your account enabled for the C-SAFE service.

Then, with a web browser, open the URL http://backup.elettra.eu and log in with your UniPass login:



Then, download the client according to your operating system (note, when using Chrome it could alert against a possible malware: be sure to force the download).




When the download has finished, start the downloaded file, accept all the default options in order to let C-SAFE CrashPlanPROe be installed.

When finished, if the C-SAFE program does not start automatically, run it. You'll be prompted to login or create a new account.
Be sure to select "Existing account", then input your credentials and the server name (backup.elettra.eu), as depicted by the following image:



Sign in: now contact the again to let the right folder to be backed up.

After that, and only for the very first time, force a backup manually by clicking on the button "Backup now".

You're done! Enjoy your new automatic backup service.
