Reaching Elettra - Sincrotrone Trieste from Trieste Airport

Road directions

Coach to Trieste (city centre) and bus to Basovizza

Take the coach number 51 to Trieste, get off at the stop in front of the Railway Station. The ride takes about 50 minutes. Timetables can be downloaded from the APT Gorizia website (only in Italian!). Tickets can be purchased at the airport from the 24-hour automatic ticket machine at the tourist information counter (Infopoint Turismo FVG). Fare: €3.30 (one way). Once in Trieste, you have to continue to Basovizza by bus or by taxi.

Taxis can be found just in front of the arrival terminal at Trieste airport. The service is available 8 am to 12 pm.
