International Research Activities (MUR)
CERIC–ERIC (Central European Research Infrastructure Consortium)
The CERIC-ERIC Consortium offers access to a wide array of microscopic probes for analytical and modification techniques, nowhere else accessible in a single facility, of materials of interest in life sciences, nanotechnology, cultural heritage, environment and industrial manufacturing.
ELETTRA
The ELETTRA International Project continues and extends the service to the international user community of the Elettra source. The existing international collaborations commit the research centre to a continuous upgrade of the infrastructure, aimed at ensuring state of the art performance.
ESS (European Spallation Source)
The European Spallation Source (ESS) is a multi-disciplinary research centre based on the world’s most powerful neutron source. It will enable new opportunities for researchers in the fields of life sciences, energy, environmental technology, cultural heritage and fundamental physics.
EUROFEL (European Free Electron Lasers)
The EUROFEL project, included in the ESFRI Roadmap since 2006, aims at establishing a worldwide unique, pan-European, open-access research infrastructure of free electron laser sources for the production of light in the spectral region from infrared to x-rays with the participation of 14 facilities in 10 countries, among which Italy.
FERMI
The goal of the FERMI International Project is the continuous upgrade of the first seeded FEL facility for users in the world. Unique among the FEL sources currently operating in the ultraviolet to the soft x-ray range, FERMI provides fully coherent, ultrashort pulses with unequalled reproducibility and stability in intensity, wavelength and line width and a peak brightness ten billion times higher than that made available by third-generation light sources.
NFFA (Nanoscience Foundries and Fine Analysis)
The Nanoscience Foundries and Fine Analysis (NFFA) project integrates in a multisite combination advanced infrastructures specialized on growth, lithography, characterization, theory, simulation and fine-analysis of nanomaterials with Synchrotron, FEL and Neutron radiation sources.
EuBi (Euro-BioImaging)
Euro‐BioImaging is a large‐scale pan‐European research infrastructure that aim to provide physical and virtual access to cutting edge imaging technologies in the framework of multinational research in the life science within the European Research Area.
