Laser sources available on IUVS laboratory
The UV Resonance Raman instrumentation opearating on IUVS laboratory exploits different laser sources that can be set depending on the expeirmental requirments.
The two laser sources Credo-Tisa and Tsunami provide completely tunable emission in the range between 191-315 nm and 350-475 nm with different repetition rates.
Other fixed-energy lasers emitting at 213, 224 and 266 nm are available for specific experiments.
Experimental stations at IUVS laboratory
Depending of the user's requirments and type of samples, IUVS laboratory offers different experimental stations:
The triple-stages Trivista spectrometer (Princeton Instruments)is the ideal tool for collecting multi-wavelenght UVRR spectra of bulk smaples (liquid, gels, solutions...) using the tunable laser light provided by Credo-Tisa or Tsunami in the range about 190-450 nm.
The micro-UVRR statio is mainly dedicated to acquisition of UVRR spectra or maps in micro- configuration using the microscope coupled with the spectrometer. Three different laser sources are available emitting at 213, 224 and 266 nm. This experimental station is ideal for films, tissues, cells, carbon related materials...
The fully integrated portable DUV Raman system with exciiation at 248 nm (Photon System) is available for in situ, real time and daily light measurements, in macro- and micro-sampling mode. This is the ideal setup for
Different sample environments can be customized, depending on the requirements of the users, for controlling temperature, pressure or other parameters during the expeirments..
