Capped Mo/Si multilayers for future solar missions
Mo/Si multilayers are efficient and stable coatings for 30.4 nm wavelength. Different capping layers were tested to enhance reflectance at 30.4 nm and their stability over time. Reflectivity measurements of prototype films were made at He II, H Ly alpha wavelengths, and in the visible spectral range, to qualify these coatings as possible candidate for the METIS coronagraph on board of SOLar Orbiter.
