DISCOVER ELETTRA SINCROTRONE TRIESTE

Elettra Sincrotrone Trieste is an international and multidisciplinary research center of excellence, specialized in the study of materials through light generated by two sources: Elettra, a third-generation synchrotron, and FERMI, a free-electron laser of new conception.

Elettra and FERMI are used to investigate matter at the atomic level and determine its properties. Thanks to these research activities, Elettra Sincrotrone Trieste promotes the cultural, social, and economic growth of society, contributing to the transfer of knowledge and technology, as well as the dissemination of advanced technical, scientific, and managerial education.

It is possible for schools and organized groups to visit our research center for free. However, due to ongoing upgrade activity, the number of available visits is limited. Therefore, the dates and times of visits must be arranged in advance for logistical and organizational reasons.
