**As a consequence of the energy crisis, the Board of Directors of Elettra Sincrotrone Trieste has decided to curtail accelerator operations in order to remain within the available budget. We will schedule only 50% of the normal user beamtime in the first semester of 2023 by prolonging throughout most of the winter months the usual January shutdown. Normal operations for both Elettra and FERMI will start again at the end of April and continue in May and June.''
We decided however to support HERCULES school also with practicals, which will be carried out at Elettra and FERMI laboratories operational with bench-top sources.''
